Braai'ed Ostrich Burger



INGREDIENTS:

Patties:

  • 1 Shallot, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Italian bread crumbs

  • 2 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

  • Ground Ostrich


Garnish:

  • 1 Onion, chopped

  • Lettuce

  • Cheese, sliced or grated

  • 1 Tomato, sliced

  • Weber Sauces & Seasonings Original BBQ Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine ground ostrich, minced shallot, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper. Stir well until combined.

  2. Separate the meat mixture into four quarter pound patties. Flatten the patties to be about a half inch thick.

  3. Preheat the braai to medium high heat.

  4. Braai the ostrich patties for 3-4 minutes per side. Let the patties rest for 5 minutes prior to serving.

  5. Assemble the ostrich patties on burger buns with Weber Sauces & Seasonings Original BBQ Sauce, lettuce, cheese, tomato and onion as desired. Add your favourite toppings for more fun!

  6. Enjoy!
